A Magnuson Kitbash

THOSE GREAT MAGNUSON WALLS GET BASHED INTO SOMETHING COOL

This great little diorama is a manufacturing building made entirely from Magnuson Models wall sections.  See if you can guess all of the Magnuson kits used!  The roof is cardstock with painted paper to simulate the roofing.  This diorama was sold not long after building and alas, like most things I've sold, now I wish I'd kept it.  Hopefully it's on a layout somewhere making people happy!  ~MCG

I love outside pictures! The light is amazing and the addition of realistic shadows really help sell the shot.

A more sunny view! Floral wire was added to simulate downspouts. Styrene tubing was painted flat b;lack and used as chimney and exhaust stacks.

The building was weathered to look like it's been around a long while.... It was painted with artists acrylics and then weathered with charcoal.

The little boiler house addition adds a lot of interest. There's plenty of trash lying about to give it that "lived in" look.

The loading dock. The ladder and roof are made with strip wood.

Not the sharpest but I love the realistic low vantage point. Wouldn't it be cool to go exploring?

Magnuson brick has such great texture to work with. The vines are Woodland Scenics ground foam and are hit with a black wash here and there to vary the color.
