Here are some more pictures from my visit in 2002.  Most of the pictures are of Franklin this time around.  Enjoy.

You can see how spotlights warm up scenes. Here's a great shot of Franklin - the city on the hill. George moved back to wood structures for Franklin. The streets are great.  You get that curvy up and down New England feel right away.  Again, I love the elevation changes.  Go left and you go down a street - right and you go up hill.

Here's where Fox Run Milling ended up.  fox Run has great roof lines... Another shot of my favorite street. Looking out over the center peninsula - which is generally flat because of the yard.  The bridge helps add interest and height to the flat yard area. Look familiar?  This is close to the shot on the cover of George's book. (If you don't have it- but it!)

This is an interesting shot.  You have the old platform above and one of George's "mini scenes" below.  Most of the figures on the layout are doing things - they aren't just randomly stuck here and there. A great study shot!!  George has concrete down pat.  The trolley is a really cool addition.  The bridge scene is almost like a little diorama in itself. Does this guy look lost to you?  He must be out on the fire escape for a quick smoke break.

Jeffries Point.  One of the most popular buildings on the F&SM.     More to come...
